2024 Young Lawyers' Award Dinner

We look forward to presenting the 10th Annual Frank L. Maraist Award on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Calcasieu in New Orleans, LA.

The Frank L. Maraist Award program recognizes young lawyers who have outstanding achievements in his/her practice and have made significant contributions to the legal profession, the defense bar, and the community.

This year, as in years past, we will open up nominations and encourage that the membership submit nominees who they believe best represent the spirit of this award. However, this year, the Young Lawyer Committee has decided to change the evaluation process.

Once the time for nominations closes, the Young Lawyer Committee will evaluate the nominations and determine a number of finalists.  This year, we will be introducing a new criterion - a question and/or questions posed to the finalists once they are determined. This will give the Young Lawyer Committee and the Board the opportunity to hear directly from the finalists on why they are deserving of this recognition. This will be in a written format presented to the finalists once identified.

The Young Lawyer Committee and the Board will then vote for the recipient of the Frank L. Maraist Award. All finalists will be invited with a guest to attend the Awards dinner on August 2, 2024.

Voting Complete by July 17, 2024

A full refund will be given up to a month before the event. A 50% refund will be given up to the week before the event. Refunds will not be given a week from the event.
